Hi, I'm Jessica Beaudry. I'm neither a dog person nor a cat person; I'm an animal person.
I'm passionate about advancing animal rights and utilizing social media and other communications channels to educate and motivate individuals to take action for animals.
WHAT I'VE DONE
While obtaining my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Mass Communication, I worked as a staff writer for the Santa Rosa Junior College student newspaper, the Oak Leaf, and a staff writer and social media team member for the California State University Long Beach student magazine, DIG Magazine. In the role of communications intern at In Defense of Animals in 2015, I professionally advocated IDA's positions on a variety of animal rights issues by generating content for the organization's Facebook, blog, and newsletter. After completing my journalism and communication studies in May 2016, I joined the CrossCheck, Inc. marketing team in the role of Inbound Marketer where I produced blog articles and managed all social media accounts for both CrossCheck ad its subsidiary Optio Solutions, LLC. In September 2018, I joined the Animal Legal Defense Fund (ALDF) team as Communications Associate.
WHAT I DO
As the Communications Associate at ALDF, I provide support for all aspects of the organization's communications.
